Health Care
The Mama Maria Clinic
MMC Provides a unique package of essential health care, offering:
• Basic ambulatory care
• Perinatal and maternal care and vaccinations
• Pediatric care
•
Emergency transport,
plus nutritional, and HIV/AIDS education, and other health-related outreach to the residents of Muhuru Bay and surrounding communities.

Soon the Mama Maria Clinic will receive a new home on its 3 1/2 acre campus, opening the door for even more services and care. As growth continues, MMC plans to expand services to more fully accommodate for the health care needs of the community, including specialized maternal and perinatal care, inpatient care, and HIV testing.

Other MMK Programs
Orphan Feeding Program
The
Orphan Feeding Program offers parentless children desperately needed food
staples, providing meals they would not otherwise have throughout the month.
This nutritional support allows the children to more fully engage in their
educational and other life opportunities.
James Kithene Scholarships for the Deaf
Deaf
children in rural Africa have virtually no hope of receiving an education.
Kenyan schooling is often cost-prohibitive for ordinary children, so handicapped
kids have little chance of ever making it to school. Mama Maria Kenya is
dedicated to providing
academic
scholarships through facilitating sponsors and deaf children to provide a
way for deaf children to go to specialized schools to learn sign language, life
skills, and academics.

Public Health Community Outreach Program
Community Outreach Programs are designed to equip the public with facts about HIV/AIDS and promote testing, malaria prevention, and water and sanitation, as well as visiting schools to perform de-worming and establish school clubs aimed towards the promotion of health, nutrition, and other positive health-related activities.
MMK Goat Program

Mama Maria's Goat
Program provides for the dire, unexpected moments of those who stand the
most
in need in the village. Goats are made available for
sale to support medical emergencies
that require
the use of the Mama Maria ambulance and
any incurred hospital fees.
Many times, even when they have transport, locals refuse emergency
medical care at the hospital due to
the fact they simply cannot afford it.
This is often a death sentence. Buying and donating a goat means giving a
family a second chance in the face of a critical emergency. So,
buy a goat, and
see what a difference you can make in someone's life. Goats run $28, and are
available via
PayPal.
